Torremolinos is one of the oldest and best known resorts on the Costa del Sol and has considerably improved its image over recent years by cleaning up the beaches and pedestrian areas and developing the area to include a wide offering of bustling entertainment, activities and nightlife, making it one of the most popular self-catering holiday spots on the Costa del Sol with a good range of holiday apartments and villas.
Add to this modern shopping centres and pedestrian only areas, a wide variety of good quality bars and restaurants and large, family-oriented parks, Torremolinos is very well equipped for tourists. There is a smart 7km long beachfront promenade runs along a great deal of the Torremolinos seafront and offers well-kept sandy beaches and a lovely walk via the La Carihuela by the sea as far as Benalmadena port.
If fish so fresh it melts in your mouth is what you enjoy, then the Carihuela is well worth a visit. The majority of restaurants found along this seafront promenade are fish restaurants and all vie with each other to offer the best. If trendy nightlife is more in line with your holiday requirements, the Los Alamos area of town has a good choice of popular beach bars.
Torremolinos is on the train line from Malaga and the airport and is easily accessible by train or bus.
