Brittany

Brittany is the most westerly region of France, with 750 miles of dramatic coastline and hundreds of bays, inlets and islands protecting the fishing boats that have sustained Bretons for thousands of years. Leisure activities are mainly water-based and include sailing, surfing, canoeing, rowing, and sand yachting. For history fans there are megaliths, chateaus, museums and ancient forests, as well as medieval cities such as Mont Saint-Michel. Breton cuisine is known for its wonderful seafood, lamb, and world-renowned crepes.
